RESET FOR THE NEW YEAR

Wouldn’t you agree that self-connection is vital? The idea of not doing anything is preposterous to me at times. Sitting alone, listening to my own thoughts can seem quite mundane and uncomfortable some days. I had gotten into the mind frame that we are supposed to be doing doing doing all of the time. But 2018 was a humbling year for me, as I am sure it was for a lot of people. It really forced me to start slowing down and reconnecting with my body and my thoughts. I had to really get in-tune with me again. What did I want? What were my goals? Who did I want to become? These were all the things I had to slowly (and still) find the answers to—and no one else could answer these questions but me. I figure 2019 is a continuation of this forever process. That’s why I have deemed it, “the year of re-connection.” I am looking forward to this new year as I do every year. I take it with stride and optimism! I have set my goals, [both long term and short term] with flexibility. And although it is another extension of now, it still encompasses this sense of personal development, and new beginnings. So, I ask you—what are you looking forward to in 2019 (the year of re-connection)?
